“Download PDF” opens your browser’s print window: choose Save as PDF. Your details are saved only in this browser, so the next document is quicker. Nothing is uploaded.

My documents

Private to you: documents are kept only in this browser on this device. They are never uploaded, and nobody else can see them. On a shared computer, anyone using this browser can.

Nothing here yet. Every document you download, or save with “Save”, appears here so you can reopen it, copy it for next month, mark it paid or turn it into a receipt.

Use a backup to move your documents to another device, or to keep them safe if you clear your browser.

Three layouts, any colour

Classic keeps everything on white with your colour on the title and table lines: the safest choice for most clients. Modern puts your details on a coloured band, good for creative work. Compact fits long item lists on one page. The colour you choose is saved for next time.

Why fill in online instead of Word or Excel?

  • Totals, tax and balance due calculate themselves; no broken formulas.
  • Numbers, dates and due dates update when you start the next invoice.
  • Clients are saved, so repeat invoices take seconds.
  • The PDF looks the same on every device.

Blank invoice to fill in by hand

Need a paper version? Leave the client and item lines empty and click “Download PDF”: placeholder text is hidden when printing, so you get a clean invoice with just your business details and the column headings.

Standard invoice format

  1. Header: your logo and details, the word “Invoice”, number and dates.
  2. Bill to: the client’s name and address.
  3. Line items: description, quantity, price, amount.
  4. Totals: subtotal, discount, tax, total, amount paid and balance due.
  5. Notes: payment details and terms.

Which layout should you choose?

  • Classic for corporate clients, accountants and public bodies: plain, formal, prints well in black and white.
  • Modern for creative services, where the invoice is part of your brand. Pick the colour closest to your logo.
  • Compact for long lists of items or hours, so the invoice stays on one page.

Whichever you pick, keep it the same for every invoice. Consistent invoices look professional and are easier for clients’ accounts teams to recognise and process.

Questions people ask

Is there a template for my country?

The layout works worldwide. Choose your currency and tax rules (US sales tax, VAT/GST, or Germany) and the invoice shows the right lines.

Can I print a blank invoice?

Yes. Leave the fields you want to fill by hand empty and download the PDF; the grey placeholder text doesn’t print.
